The Significance
Padmaja was one of three orphaned elephants lovingly raised by Maharajakumari Vishalakshi Devi of the Mysore Royal Family. She arrived at just two months old and, alongside Prithviraj and Mrityunjai, spent nearly twelve years growing into a beloved part of the Princess’s life.
